Subject: RE: DocBook & FrameMaker

My question regarding FrameMaker paragraph catalogs was out of curiosity. I
do not believe FrameMaker is a complete tool for XML development at this
time, nor do I intend to use it in any work I may do in relation to the
specs. -Mike

/ "Michael Fitzgerald" <mike@wyeast.net> was heard to say:
| Just out off curiosity, has anyone ported DocBook as a FrameMaker
paragraph
| catalog.

There's some ancient version of DocBook in Framemaker/SGML, but that's
about it.

| I ask because FrameMaker 6.0 can produce reasonable XML output based on
| paragraph tags.

There's a whole lot more to structured markup than paragraph tags. I doubt
it would be possible to round-trip the data into Framemaker.
