Subject: RE: infoset
Any well-formed XML can be described by infosets. An infoset is simply a set of definitions that identify and describe trees (information sets) and nodes (information items) and the properties of such information items. It is a way to describe and discuss well-formed XML consistently and is aimed at helping different specs interact so that a local name or a target or public identifier means the same thing across the board. That's all infosets are -- nothing fancy. My question then is whether this is perceived to be of any use to the TC? -Mike -----Original Message----- From: Kohsuke KAWAGUCHI [mailto:kohsuke.kawaguchi@eng.sun.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2001 10:35 AM To: RNG List Subject: Re: infoset My understanding is that RELAX NG does not touch infosets at all. -- Kohsuke KAWAGUCHI +1 650 786 0721 Sun Microsystems kohsuke.kawaguchi@eng.sun.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this elist send a message with the single word "unsubscribe" in the body to: relax-ng-request@lists.oasis-open.org
