sounds good in theory.  How does this work in practice though?

I like the DTD compatiblity - that makes upgrading easy.

So this is really 3 modes, DTD, subset-schema, and full schema,
pick your own poison?

Does Schema even have such a library?  So this is most
hyperthetical since most people will use the simpler
defaults?
