Subject: RE: [relax-ng] converting relax ng schema to w3c schema?

Message text written by Eric van der Vlist
It's unfortunate, but the best thing to do if you need to be able to
define both a WXS and a Relax NG schema for a new vocabulary is to start
designing it with WXS since you will allways be able to derive a Relax
NG schema while the opposite is not true.

In other words, if you want to be compatible with both technologies, WXS
will be the limiting factor and you need to take it into account first.

You're thinking like a techie instead of a user!

A user only cares if his convert-to-xsd tool pops up a dialogue and
says - "this <foobar> may not convert fully to XSD, proceed Yes/No?".

Otherwise he is happy doing RELAX becuase it is easier, and 80%+
of the time - he'll never see the message anyway.

Let those XSD heads worry about the other issues, because the
user is going to say "Huh! That's why I'm using RELAX - it does
more with less!!".
