A DerivedArtifact only has two attributes NCName and Namespace that are inherited by those artifacts that are extensions of a DerivedArtifactType.  

The DerivedArtifactType is defined in the models which are defined in the Foundation Document.  There is no example in the text of the Foundation Document that describes how to set the attributes of a DerivedArtifactType.  In fact there are no examples at all in the Foundation document.  So, we may want to consider not defining this any further than it is already defined in the models to maintain consistency throughout the document.
