Subject: Registry

Hi all,

Trying to summarize our recent discussions:

-          We should add a type registry to hold Symptoms types and (possibly) Prescription Types, as these are building blocks in SAF.

-          On the contrary, registries/directories of entity instances (e.g. Practitioners, Diagnosticians, Symptom Sources available in the system) will be left out of the spec and as an implementation choice. Any reasonable implementation should have such capabilities anyway.

-          We throw away the current bulk/coarse interfaces and provide more fine grained operations –at the abstract level in the spec but with a REST (and later WS?) binding as an appendix (?)

I will try to implement these changes in our current implementation and specification asap. Next step would be a REST-like "entry point" to a SAF testbed for experimentation.

Cheers,

Stavros
