for the future, i don't think we should publish a xsd (in the RDDL), unless the spec that owns the xsd is published. IOW, we would update the RDDL whenever any SCA spec is published

Have seen the same problems with other languages (e.g. COBOL)

MikeE:

We should really make extensions explicit rather than using "any"

General agreement - the alternative would be to remove some of the extension/optionality

Action: owner=MikeE Raise issue to use explicit extension points and provide proposal/revision

SCA Assembly 1.2 - Initial Specification

Anish:

Reviewed previously - looking for comments/feedback etc.

EricJ:

Have sent a number of editorial issues

...but also some "functional" issues

EricJ:

Tibco has some different views and needs to review and then maybe raise issues

MartinC:

Different situation from usual - contribution is merged into "finished" spec

...WD's have no substansive status - only CD's

Original test was OK but there's been considerable discussion on what the real issue is...

...Runtime MAY deploy a deployable compasite - but it doesn't have to, its optional

Not suggesting we NEVER test optional statements, but for this (initial) version we decided not to due to volume of work

There are other issues that have been raised by Jim Marino that should be raised separately

Yes & no - Qnames "tested" implicitly all the time but no specific test that people aren't bypassing (direct file access)

...there may be another test that covers this but can't find it immediately

Mike will contact Jim M and say if he wants to provide a test thats good, otherwise we will CNA
