Spec not inconsistent at present - in section 10

 

...real issue is "heirachy of channels" - should discuss this and not avoid issue

 

...can't just slide issue in by allowing "/"

Channels are flat and not hierarchical - can't add an implicit hierarcy that doesn't exist in specs

MikeE:

Channels naming convention is same as component - can't have hierarchy of components or channels

AnishK:

+1 to Peter - don't think we should consider hierarchical channels at present

 

...there are alternatives to "/" if that is necessary

People can use other characters to indicate (user defined) hierarchy - doesn't seem reasonable to prohibit "/"
