Subject: Re: [sca-bindings] ODF or Word format for the OASIS Specs??
That is the problem with word. We are all using different versions. I'm probably on the oldest version of word (2000). Although I do have Acrobat Pro, so I can do print PDF in two different ways. Like Eric, I'm also on Linux (unless I have to edit SCA docs :-( ), so an application that works on Linux is very attractive to me. Based on the discussion the following makes sense: 1) Never switch back and forth between word and OOo 2) Always generate PDF 3) For generating HTML, OOo is truely horrendous (or was, haven't checked with the latest version). In WSRX TC we used OOo to edit the docs and for HTML we imported the ODF file in word and generated the html. Worked pretty well. 4) I would suggest that till we get to public review we don't change anything. After that I'm willing to do some more experimentation to ensure that we can use OOo (this switching between OS to edit SCA specs is irritating). -Anish -- Simon Holdsworth wrote: > > Simon, could you enlighten me as to where you "found the button to get > the left sidebar TOC to appear in the > Word+Acrobat version"...
