9. AOB
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Scribe: Mike Edwards
Item 1 Agenda Bashing
No changes
Item 2 Meeting Minutes
Minutes from 4th June
Accepted without change
Item 5 Document Naming
Email:
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-bindings/200906/msg00032.html
Simon asks if the options presented
in that email are acceptable
Simon H: Yes, I am happy with them
Simon H: Do you intend us to republish
old specs with a new URI?
Simon N: Yes, so that folk will
have a full history in "new URI space"
Simon H: My preference is to leave
alone the stuff already published
Simon N: I could modify the proposal
so that only the new material goes under the new URIs
with redirects for the old stuff
Simon N: I'd strike the parenthetical
sentence from option #2 to make it consistent
Simon H: Option 2 would mean that
CD-01's latest link would not redirect and would point to itself always
Simon N: Option 2 means that the
existing stuff is cut loose
Anish: I want to confirm that is
what is going to happen
Anish: I don't like option 2 at
all
Simon N: So I need to say that
for option2 we would need to do updates to the redirects each time something
new is published
Item 6 CD Review Comments
ACTION: Anish to remove colon from
Web Service Binding CD02 Rev2 around conformance points BWS40005, BWS40006
and BWS40007
Question of list of contributors
- how should it be created?
Dave: On Policy & Assembly
we used the FULL member list to build the list and sent that out to the
list for approval

Item 4 New Issues
Issue 76 binding.ws schema uses
##any instead of ##other
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/BINDINGS-76
Dave B outlines the issue
Anish: Is it only in the spec or
is it in the schema files too?
Dave: It is in the schemas too,
but I have fixed versions ready to commit to the OASIS repository
Anish: Why are we specifying the
any here - it is in the base anyway
if this is an extension, it should
not be required
Dave B moves to open issue 76
Mike E seconds
Motion carried unanimously
Issue 76 is opened
Issue 77 binding.jms schema uses
<anyAttribute/> for schema attribute extensibility
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/BINDINGS-77
Dave B moves to open Issue 77
Bryan seconds
Motion carried unanimously
Issue 77 is opened
Dave Booz CommonExtensionBase does
have attribute extensibility
Issue 78 binding.jca schema uses
##any instead of ##other
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/BINDINGS-78
Dave B moves to open Issue 78
Eric seconds
Motion carried unanimously
Issue 78 is opened
anish so we should not have 'anyAttribute'
anywhere else
Issue 76 binding.ws schema uses
##any instead of ##other
Consideration of a resolution
Proposal:
Dave Booz: Remove lines 530-534,
538-539, 543 from sca-binding-ws-1.1-spec-cd02-rev2.pdf
<discussion of the text description
of the any attribute and any element in the body of the spec text>
Simon H: I think this is getting
too complex for a quick resolution
Dave: Can we separate the fixes
to the schema from the changes to the text?
Eric: I think we should deal with
both the schema and the pseudo-schema in one issue
Anish: We don't describe the extensibilty
points in the other specs like Assembly
Simon Holdsworth: Three parts:
Simon Holdsworth: Schema update:
Remove lines 530-534, 538-539, 543 from CD02 rev2
Simon Holdsworth: Pseudo schema
update: Remove ... from attributes and binding.ws element
Simon Holdsworth: Pseudo schema
description update: Remove bullet describing @{any} and any children of
binding.ws
anish: it seems to me that we should
not use any/anyAttribute on abstract elements that are head of substitution
groups
anish thanks eric for noticing
this. now that I think about it, i had encountered a similar problem in
the past and had completely forgotten about it
Simon H: Take dicusssion about
a proposal to the mail list
Anish: Isn't this straightforward?
Simon H: We need to go thru details
and we don't have the time now
