Anish, thanks for starting the mail discussion. My point was that if there is enough pain in keeping chapter 4 in sync then it should not be a problem to get a super-majority for any revision of this motion. So the normal TC process can handle it. Since we did not have consensus on the amendment, I would encourage folks to discuss this on the mailing list.
