Subject: RE: [sca-j] Java CI spec - up to date issues applied
There seem to be some indentation/formatting differences between the word and pdf formats and some strange interactions between pdfmaker and print to pdf. Believe it or not, when I run pdfmaker over this document, it just dies right at the end and doesn't produce a pdf file. When I try to print to pdf, the word file is actually modified (which screws up the formatting) making the word and pdfs different (but only in formatting, not in content). I'm frustrated and am giving up for now on the formatting situation as I don't know how to resolve it. If someone else can look at this, I'd appreciate it.
Now as for the comments:
- I could not figure out how to (reliably) indent all text under the major headings, so instead I un-indented everything to match chaps 8-11. In trying to make Chap 8 indented like the rest of the document, all kinds of strange formatting problems cropped up, so that's why I decided to un-indent everything. This had the effect of changing line numbers all over the place.
For the remaining comments, using the line numbers from your email, this leaves:
-779, 827 which I fixed
- 65, 96 are the only ones that need the package definition so I only added those two.
- 234, fixed
- 295, 306 fixed
- 908 fixed
I left change tracking on for wd10 and did NOT accept wd09 updates, so marked changes include those made in wd09.

I did not produce a pdf as a result of the aforementioned formatting problems.

Simon,
Thanks for the thorough review. I've made all the updates (and a few more that I spotted along the way) and published new documents. If anyone else has comments on WD08, no worries, I will fold them in on top of this new WD09 draft and produce another set of documents. If you haven't started reviewing yet, WD09 is as good a place to start as any.
