Subject: CQL Context Sets
Based on recent private discussion I offer the
following proposal:
Split the CQL standard into two parts - CQL Part 1:
Syntax and description; CQL Part 2: Context Sets.
Part 1 would includes the core sets (cql,
sort). Bib and DC would be moved to Part 2, which would include some
context sets inline, references to others, discussion about registration
(and registration vs. standardization) and it would have a completely
different method of maintenance.
Please let me know your reaction to this proposal.
There are several aspects to how we treat context
sets that need discussion and we can talk about it next call (Monday, July 20)
but I would like initial thoughts on this as soon as possible.
Thanks.
