It would have been nice if 5.1.1 had defined Level 0 conformance as supporting a single searchTerm and provided the definition of that term so that section 5.1.2 would have searchTerm defined already.

I'd use "searchTerm 1 AND searchTerm 2".

5.1.3:  That's a huge leap from Level 1.  Do we really require that a client be able to formulate "all queries described in this standard"?  How about just anything more complex than Level 1?  If I can formulate "searchClause1 BOOLEAN searchClause 2", I'm more than Level 1.  How about if Level 2 mandates an Explain record that describes how much of CQL you can support?

5.2.1: Point 2 is confusing.  Rather than "any unsupported query", how about "a query more complex than a single searchTerm"?
