Subject: RE: [soa-rm-editors] reminder: deadline is upon us...

Agreed. You get semantics as soon as you write something down (or even as
soon as you think of something to write down). I'm not sure there is
anything concerning semantics that will fit into the conformance section
directly - but I am concerned that we are not capturing some of the
essential but "soft" parts of the SOA - referred to as "fabric" in other
email threads, also referred to as the service bus or the ESB in other

So ... My gut tells me that there is something about semantics that should
fit in the conformance section, but maybe indirectly as some
transformation/mediation/broker element. This is an item that I think is
missing from the paper as a whole, but I'm not sure how it would fit in
without being too concrete.

I have forwarded this to the overall TC for comment.

Perhaps there is some rewording needed.
Semantics is not an option! You get it whether you like it or not.
What is not only optional but inherently so is the extent to which
the semantics is documented.
(The reason for this would take a proof that is a little long to fit
on the back of an email)
