Sigh, I guess I'm doing my part, since I usually bang on this particular drum at some point in relation to specs I work on, since I am arranging a seminar by Frank on the need for an SOA RM on behalf of the Ontolog Forum at SRI AI during the upcoming Ninth International Protégé Conference
However, I confess I haven't gotten back into the RA work since I returned from the NHIN Forum at NIH last week in DC, which as I said elsewhere, is an excuse for darn near anything. I shall dutifully start catching up on that soon. Between traveling and scheduling and planning work, almost all of which is involved in implementations of SOA in fact, I'd rather be sailing, sigh.

Thanks, Don. I've been thinking we need to write a Wikipedia article on SOA-RM that at least gets out there our basic concepts and definitions, even if not a book describing all the fine points. Haven't managed to find the time to follow up. Sigh.

You and Frank are great at explaning an SOA. Consequently, I propose
that you put a more accurate definition on the WIKI.
Here's a business manager oriented, not RM although derived from the RM
concepts, definition that I have be thinking about.
"An SOA is a business approach that enables the wide-spread sharing of
business processes to satisfy business requirements, whether the sharing
parties are in the same business unit, spread across the organization in
different departments or divisions, or even in different companies."
(Maybe business requirements should read business needs)
