The primary audience for this document is the authors of software
specifications and the writers of software test suites as these are
most likely to be involved in writing test assertions. However these
guidelines are also intended to be of use to anyone who needs to write
or make use of test assertions or who seeks to understand them. This
might include anyone involved in specifying, testing or implementing
software or related technologies."
