[2.] A clear English-language summary of the specification.
The Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) protocol is a key member of the group of interrelated standards that comprise the Web services stack. It defines a standard method for publishing and discovering the network-based software components of a service-oriented architecture.
The UDDI Version 3.0.2 Specification describes the Web services, data structures and behaviors of all instances of a UDDI registry.
[3.] A statement regarding the relationship of this specification to similar work of other OASIS TCs or other standards developing organizations.
The UDDI v3 specification builds on top of the OASIS UDDI v2 Standard. This version of the specification has been designed to be used in combination with other complementary Web services specifications. UDDI Version 3.0 builds on the vision of UDDI: a "meta service" for locating web services by enabling robust queries against rich metadata. Expanding on the foundation of the OASIS UDDI v2 Standard, UDDI v3 offers the industry a specification for building flexible, interoperable XML Web services registries useful in private as well as public deployments.
[4.] Certifications of Use
The chairs are pleased to report that seven OASIS organizational members have provided attestations with respect to successfully using UDDI V3, as required by the OASIS TC Process.

SAP AG: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/uddi-spec/200411/msg00008.html
[5.] Public comments and resolutions.
The UDDI v3 Committee Specifications were submitted for public comment to the email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, and email@example.com lists by OASIS on 1 November 2004. See http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200411/msg00001.html. [Comments submitted and their responses can be found at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/uddi-spec-comment/200411/maillist.html and http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/uddi-spec-comment/200412/maillist.html.]
[6.] An account of and results of the voting to approve the approve the specification as a Committee Draft.
The Committee Draft was approved unanimously. The ballot results can be obtained from: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/uddi-spec/ballot.php?id=584.
[7.] History of previous OASIS standardization attempts.
This version of the UDDI v3 specification has not been previously submitted to OASIS. UDDI v2 is an OASIS Standard.
[8.] Publicly visible comments archive.
The UDDI Spec TC committee and comment archives can be found at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/uddi-spec/ and http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/uddi-spec-comment/ respectively.
[9.] OASIS IPR policy statement.
The chairs certify that all members of the TC have been provided with a copy of the OASIS IPR policy. IPR disclosures from UDDI Spec TC members are provided at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/uddi-spec/ipr_statement.shtml.
[10.] Optionally, a pointer to any minority reports submitted by one or more TC members who did not vote in favor of approving the Committee Draft, or certification by the chair that no minority reports exist.
No minority reports have been submitted to the chair as of this writing.
Respectfully submitted by
Luc Clément, Systinet and Tony Rogers, CA
Co-Chairs, OASIS UDDI Specification TC
