KnoW is a hitherto-informal R&D network aimed at putting together projects
in the general area of "Knowledge on the Web". Several folks known to XTM
are on the steering group, including myself and Daniel R-M.
We have interest & participation-so-far from a goodly number of companies,
large and small, from a number of countries. We have held several informal
workshops earlier this year, and have several projects ongoing and in
preparation. 
At the moment, we are working towards having a more formal/official
existence and membership structure (should happen by end 2000) - and will
then be more forward in promoting ourselves. 

If anyone wants to join right now, please contact Daniel.... otherwise,
"watch this space" at XML 2000!
