Nothing ever changes. For example, the idea of housekeeping topics is
faithfully reflected in the distinction, in Aristotle's rhetoric,
between two types of *topoi* -- *idia* and *koinoi*

Likewise, the idea of the ineffable subject (non-addressable
information resource) is faithfully represented in Aristotle's
*enthymeme*.

P.S. I was led to dig up this trivial information by the claim that a
notation can be "unambiguous". For that term, I would substitute
"compelling to the target audience." Not that there's anything wrong
with that!
