Subject: [xtm-wg] DMOZ -> XTM?
I'm putting together an experimental system for classifying web pages, and will be basing the catalogue more or less on parts of the structure of the Open Directory. It is very likely there will be additional metadata that will need persisting as well. What I'm wondering is whether it would be appropriate to use XTM in here, but I'm not yet at all familiar with the format - the topic maps idea seems straightforward (& useful), but I don't really understand what XTM offers that can't be done just as well in RDF. I've a feeling there may well be some politics involved in this, but I'd just like to know from a practical standpoint what my best option would be. --- Danny Ayers http://www.isacat.net ------------------------ Yahoo!
