Subject: Re: Multidimensional vs. One-dimensional info WAS Re: [xtm-wg] A challenge on "the graph"
* Lars Marius Garshol | | There seems to be, yes. Where did all the URIs go? Where did the | URIs of all nodes in the graph go? Where did the subject indicator | URIs go? Where did the subject address URIs go? Where did the | occurrence and variant name resource URIs go? * Thomas B. Passin | | Whatever do you mean? They become values of nodes, possibly in their | own nodes that are linked to parent nodes. I know that, Tom. It's a rhetorical question. :-) The point is that while this is assumed it is nowhere _said_ in the graph-based models. SRN's graph model only says that applications must compare URIs intelligently to compute resource equality, while Sam's unpublished graph model does not mention them at all. To me, this makes both as they stand unusable. | I don't see any problem with keeping hold of the URIs. Nor is there one. :) It's just that how to do it and how to use the URIs that are in the model must be specified. Anything that is not spelled out in detail must be interpreted, and will be interpreted in different ways. --Lars M. ------------------------ Yahoo!
