A lot of us in RDF-land have been experimenting with the GraphViz tools.

or http://www.w3.org/RDF/Implementations/SiRPAC/ and
http://www.rdfviz.org/  for RDF based tools wrapped around the  GraphViz
system. No GraphViz isn't written in Python (mainly C), but it's useful
enough for me to feel it worth recommending anyway...
