My personal view is that a lot of the problems "grokking" the PM as
delivered in DC were due to its perceived length and complexity. This
is an issue of editorial design that I hope to address. A radically
shortened version of the PM should lead to easier understanding. Of
course, there's no guarantee that understanding will lead to agreement
or even consensus, but it's a reasonable first step, and (in my
personal view) should form part of the baseline for the XTM Processing
Model Subgroup's work.
