On the contrary -- it is the philosophical issues that have the deepest
and most prolonged impact on usage, as the example of SGML shows. To
repeat: The design decision -- the philosophy! -- to stress
human-readable markup founded an industry.

If you want humans (say, human Subject Matter Experts) to determine
whether two subjects are identical or not, use topic maps. If you
don't, use RDF. As for concrete examples -- have your marketing
department do some research ;-)
