We have already developed some topic map tools:
- Groupware-based Topic Map Engine: This is the back-end
of the application environment. Topic maps based on templates are generated
(semi-) automatically. The information repositories are groupware databases.
I gave a first talk about these ideas on the KT 2001 in Austin; this is
an actual publication:

- Groupware-based Topic Map Modeler: It's a graphical
tool to develop, configure, and maintain topic map templates (in our context).
You can find here some screenshots and an overview of the architecture:

- Groupware-based Topic Map Navigator "Semantic
Surfer": This is a relaunched navigator (textual, tabular) for end
users (v. http://gtm.upb.de/topicmap/index.html). I will send you a guest
login to your personal email address.
Furthermore, we are developing a graphical/visual
navigator in these days. I hope to publish a prototype within the next
weeks.
If you have any remarks, suggestions, or criticism,
I will be pleased about your feedback.
Best regards,
Stefan
