> Can anyone
update us on where things are at now
with the UN/CEFACT messages - I mean XML
ones
- schemas - not just the models?
For a
list of published standard schema files, see:
Which messages
are available to use? I recollect Ken and
others
comparing some of the UN/CEFACT message schemas
with their UBL
equivalents: how many such message
schemas are there and are they ready for
use yet?
Also, maybe we should be using ubl-dev a little more
for
discussing such messages since their are in the
upgrade path from UBL. How do
they compare to UBL
in their usability and maturity? I'm guessing they
knock
the socks of our UBL modelling work what with so
much more
widespread business requirements analysis
having gone into the UN/CEFACT work
over the years
but how does that affect the actual messages? Are
they
better fitted to the needs of business software now
than UBL has been? Has
anyone any experience of
deploying/adopting any UN/CEFACT
messages?
Apologies if I'm jumping the gun here. Just keen to
see how
XML ebusiness messages/documents are
developing/evolving and if the needs of
the businesses
are being better and better met through all of our
efforts
in UBL and then in UN/CEFACT (not that I've personally
had time,
etc to contribute much the the latter,
regretfully).
Best
regards
Steve
