Subject: Re: [ubl-dev] Structured Creditor Reference
Hello Simo, the ISO Creditor Reference is not strictly an universal unique identifier but it could be if the implementer is taking care of this aspect. If the CRI is an UUID you can use the UBL UUID information item available in the header of the Invoice. The SEPA recommendations are to provide a CRI per Invoice so you can achieve an automatic reconciliation in two ways: - On the banking channel: maximum 2-3 invoices can be paid within a single credit transfer. - On the trade channel: The debtor/customer can send to the creditor/supplier an UBL Remittance Advice that is suitable for unlimited remittance info. The CRI must be unique if provided as UUID so I would suggest to use the ISO Creditor Reference standard together the PEPPOL specification for using identifiers. https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/software/peppol/document/peppol-policy-using-identifiers-v21-20110408pdf "RF" + Check Digit + PEPPOL Party Identifier Best regards Roberto Cisternino, JAVEST UBL ITLSC co-chair ----- Messaggio originale ----- Da: "Simo Sutela" <qurnelius@netscape.net> A: ubl-dev@lists.oasis-open.org Inviato: Venerdì, 22 marzo 2013 18:05:09 Oggetto: [ubl-dev] Structured Creditor Reference Hello, I would like to know what is the correct UBL invoice field or tag to represent the Creditor Reference [1], as described in ISO 11649 and mandated by the Single Euro Payment Area? It is distinct from the invoice ID because it's structured and contains a prefix that is not connected to the specific invoice in any way. It is always assigned by the seller.
