Subject: Re: [ubl-lcsc] [ontolog] A mini-program on ontological approaches atthe next UBL f2f meeting
Hi Peter-- While I have some interest in "semantic" aspects of the UBL work, we have a mission and a deadline that don't include this sort of deliverable yet, and so I'm reluctant to spend more than a couple of hours of time on this inquiry in Minneapolis. (As I recall, the LC SC didn't have a lot of time together in Barcelona because of meetings/presos with other groups, and the same may be true in MN... I'd hate to exacerbate this problem.) What might be more productive is to find out ahead of time (e.g., by asking on the [ubl] list) who has an interest, and schedule two successive lunchtime sessions for them all to get together in MN -- perhaps with Leo physically present, but another option if he prefers it might be a teleconference with slides and maybe a NetMeeting-like connection. The first hour could be tutorial in nature and the second could be dedicated to exploring the "what do we do about this" question. I have to admit that a one-hour lunch slot looks awfully thin in general, so perhaps we can work with Jon to get this expanded to an hour and a half. Eve Peter P.
