Subject: RE: [ubl-lcsc] Re: UBL & XIP (XML Industrial , Project)

Chin,

In addition to what Bill Meadows has written, let me say that what is important with UBL is our being based in the ebXML Core Components approach. Core Components is rapidly being adopted by a wide range of international standards efforts and will provide a mechanism whereby UBL can and will interact with a broad spectrum of other industry efforts.

Given the significant interest in ebXML solutions within Asia, it is particularly important for us to receive input and feedback from groups such as yours on the UBL release. I would encourage you to also review the latest version of the ebXML Core Components specification (UN/CEFACT ebXML Core Components Technical Specification Version 1.9 - Implementation Verification Status) which is available for download at: http://webster.disa.org/cefact-groups/tmg/doc_ccwg.html
