You are too kind.  In fact, I just didn't understand what you were
getting at.  Sorry!

As long as we can use the codes (and I think we're now all in
agreement on that), the source would appear to be immaterial.  I
think what you need is simply to have the codes extracted from the
documents so that someone can xmlify them.  Right?
