DANISH TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS REVIEW

    TM has created an extended version of the UBL 2.0 library that

addresses most of the Danish Requirements we have talked about, including

Transport Equipment, Consignment and Shipment extensions.

AS restructured the spreadsheets and posted them as Google spreadsheets to facilitate discussion. (Hiding some of the fields enabled viewers to see DEN, definition, and Version as one page view.) AS remarked that this was a comprehensive first draft and a good starting point to confirm that Danish Transport requirements are being met. This expanded library would form the basis for supplementing existing messages needed by Denmark as well as for creating additional messages which may be needed to address Denmark’s transport.requirements. The supplements to Consignment as well as to Shipment and Shipment Stage suggest are closer coherence to the TBG3 model of Shipment and Consignment and their many to many relationship. FMH observed that some definitions are still needed and that references to TDED should be included. It is also necessary to ensure that the spreadsheet data and the UBL Transport Model are in synch.

ACTION: PSC and TSC to provide feedback on UBL 2.0 SBS 2.0:

ACTION: PSC and TSC to summarize business rules that are (1)

wanted in UBL but not allowed by [i.e., capable of being

addressed by] the NDR (e.g., requirement to include one of

PartyName and PartyIdentifier but not both) and (2) data items

whose constraints are inherited from another standard (e.g.,

lengths of data items specified by UNTDED); the rules so

identified to become candidates for a list of schematron

assertions "recommended to be included" (final characterization

TBD).

MO commented that the CEFM project is still underway until 13 Nov 2007. It may be interest to the TSC members to get a demonstration/briefing during a future TSC telecom.
