Subject: Outcomes of joint SC call 2004.03.31
Attendance: Jon Bosak Stephen Green Tim McGrath Mike Grimley Anne Hendry Ken Holman David Kruppke Bill Meadows Marion Royal Lisa Seaburg Ray Seddigh Paul Thorpe Item 2.1 Correctly defining re-usable BBIE Properties (Mike Grimley) Closure of yesterday's action items: AI: Mike G.: Clarify rule for how the name of each complex type used for BBIE properties should be formed; David needs a rule, not just an example -- done With regard to the additional postal zone example, we agree as follows: A complex type will be created representing every BBIE property using its property term and representation term. No qualifiers will be used to name the types. AI: Stephen: Review and revise the data models in the next 24 hours while David is implementing the rules; record changes in the change log as input to David. AI: David: Thursday: Implement the rules Friday: Make new schemas based on rule changes and possibly on new models from Stephen, complete schemas by 7 a.m. SF time (17h00 in Berlin) AI: NDRSC: Include rule changes in NDRs. Item 2.2 Agreed implementation of Code List Representation schema (Marty Burns/Stephen Green) Discussion: The suggestion made by David won't work, so we're going with what was decided in yesterday's call. Tim completed yesterday's AI to create an SDT model for UBL_Amount. Type. AI: David: Implement the changes in Stephen's message of 27 March. David confirms that he has the information needed to do this. AI: CLSC: Review the version 10 schemas in the CLSC meeting today with awareness that this issue has been (is being) dealt with. Item 2.3 Core Component Parameters: maxOccurs for Instance elements (Stephen Green) AI's have been completed; issue closed. Item 3 Effect on instances From yesterday's minutes: - We think that these changes will have no effect on instances, so Ken should be able to start work using Stephen's instance examples for joinery and office together with the draft 10 schemas; Jean will still have to finish the UN specifications. We will visit this again tomorrow to confirm. Status: Ken has created new xpath files and is trying to upload them to kavi. We still think that the modifications in item 2.1 should not affect instances, because they do not change the namespaces of elements or attributes in instances. Item 4 (new) Q/A and packaging schedule Jon is assuming responsibility for physical packaging, but we still need regular meetings of people to perform Q/A and packaging coordination. Our plan is to keep meeting as joint SCs to perform these functions. Our near-term schedule is as follows: Fri 2 April 7 a.m. SF standard time (15h00 UTC, 16h00 London, 17h00 Berlin, 23h00 Perth) - Accept schemas from David - Initial schema Q/A - Packaging review (in particular, normative status of the CL paper and other prose pieces) Tue 6 April 8 a.m. SF daylight time (15h00 UTC, 16h00 London, 17h00 Berlin, 23h00 Perth) - Resolve schema bug reports - Packaging review Wed 7 April 8 a.m. SF daylight time (15h00 UTC, 16h00 London, 17h00 Berlin, 23h00 Perth) - Schema Q/A spillover - Packaging review Note that NDR is free to use the 9-10 a.m. slot Wednesday. Item 5 (new) Schema structure AI: Lisa: Revise schema structure description in light of updates that have been sent by Stephen and send to Jon for inclusion in the master document.
