Minutes for UBL TC meeting 08H00 - 10H00 UTC WEDNESDAY 24 AUGUST 2005 Attendees: Thomas Lee Mavis Cournane Sue Probert Mikkel Hippe Brun Tim McGrath 1. STANDING ITEMS Additions to the calendar (http://ibiblio.org/bosak/ubl/calendar.htm) * Thomas Lee will include a section on UBL (and its development of the APEC document set) at the APEC Paperless Trading conference September 1-5 in Beijing * There is a forum on interopeable e-business standards in Seoul on 11th October * Mikkel will present at XML 2005 in Atlanta (already on schedule) Liaison reports * Tim attended the TBG17 meeting (August 1-5) for 3 days. TBG17 intend to have a draft CC library for review by the CEFACT forum at the end of September. This is being derived for several submissions including UBL's. Subcommittee reports (including the new Procurement and Transportation SCs) * Procurement SC met informally last week to arrange the transfer of the spreadsheet models from Stephen Green to Peter Borresen. We think Mark Leitch is back from leave this week. * Transportation SC met last week. They are about to commence aligning COML data model with the generalized DTTN one. Team reports * Catalogue team was formed in Copenhagen last week. Many European groups were represented and a comprehensive set of requirements were identified. 2. CONTENT WORK * Document Models last week Stephen, Peter, Tim (and Tim Benson from OGC) went through the models. as a result draft 2.0 spreadsheet models are being updated by Stephen and then passed to Peter for review. At the same time Sylvia is attempting to load these into EDIFIX. If we can achieve this this week we are back on schedule. Tim Benson has created a gap analysis of these models and the OGC requirements. 3. NDR WORK Mavis reported that the decision to use ATG2 unqualified data types (and core component types) reduced the size of the NDR document by reducing the number of rules. there are revised diagrams. the new NDR document is considered stablized and should be reviewed by any interested party and any comments submitted by next week. It is available for the UBL web site. The remaining NDR issues relate to code lists but it may be that with the "instance/application" validation principle there are no NDR issues. It was proposed that we should commence looking at the customization issues now and start to define the terms of reference and deliverables for such a project. 4. Other items none Next meeting will be at the same time and number on August 31st. -- regards tim mcgrath phone: +618 93352228 postal: po box 1289 fremantle western australia 6160 DOCUMENT ENGINEERING: Analyzing and Designing Documents for Business Informatics and Web Services http://mitpress.mit.edu/catalog/item/default.asp?sid=632C40AB-4E94-4930-A94E-22FF8CA5641F&ttype=2&tid=10476
