The attending TC members unanimously accepted the minutes
4. Discussion of UOML work draft: introduction, Structure, and UOML Specification
The TC discussed the format of UOML specification, and reached consensus about the
following:
•
The normative UOML specification should closely conform to the OASIS Templates,
including the Editors, document identifier, and structure and so on;
•
For the convenience of the UOML specification revision, Diagram and Schema should be
separated from the normative Specification, and both of them can be taken as the reference;
•
The Diagram and XML Schema will be combined into the UOML specification when
finalized.
5. Discussion of security control module
The TC members discussed whether the Security Control module should be included in the first
UOML Specification draft. Some of the comments on this issue that are given are:
•
If the Security Control module is included in the first work draft, the deadline of the
draft submission will be postponed;
•
Security Control module take an important role for UOML, it should be integrated into
the first specification.
The TC came to a conclusion: it is valuable for the Security Control module to be included
in the first specification, although it will take a longer time to be submitted, as Security
Control part is the necessary function of UOML.
6. Discussion of cooperation between UOML TC and ODF TC
Red Office, an open office suite, has implemented the UOML in the Chinese edition (Version
3); and the corresponding English edition will be released in the near future, which will
demonstrate the relationship between open office and UOML in some extent, and help people to
understand the future cooperation for ODF and UOML.
The TC members deemed that there are potential cooperation opportunities with ODF TCs. This
topic is to be continued by Email.
7. Next meeting schedule
Sursen would work hard to complete the first draft for the TC members to review by the end
of March. The 3rd meeting will be scheduled shortly after the draft is delivered, which
