That's a good point. 
Do you think changing the title to 'A non-normative UML view of WS-BPEL
Processes' will avoid the confusion?

I think representing the generalization relationship between WS-BPEL
processes in some diagram will help the reader.

Hi Venky,

I guess it depends on whether the diagram is normative and
non-normative.
Since your diagram is UML-based, people may tend to interprete that as 
normative.
