Frank,

I think Yaron was trying to say that shared variables open up another
set of issues!

Again - limiting the usage context could work - we're certainly looking
at means to assert/retract facts as part of the BCM choice point - and
those mechanisms are well understood.   

That's somewhat different from having say an elapsed transaction 
time counter that's being continuously polled and updated!
