Subject: Draft Ballot for 11
- From: Diane Jordan <drj@us.ibm.com>

Given the discussion we've had on the
vote for 11, I thought it best to run the draft ballot by the committee
before I officially start it to make sure its clear enough and I've not
overlooked anything. Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Info on Condorcet voting can be obtained
at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condorcet_method
This is the calculator that we've used
to determine results: http://condorcet.ericgorr.net/
Draft text for the ballot:
Please indicate your preferred options
for resolving issue 11:
A: Proposal from Ugo Corda on Mar. 30,
2005 (http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsbpel/email/archives/200503/msg00231.html)
B: Close with no change.
C: Proposal from Ron Ten Hove on Oct.
25, 2005 (http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsbpel/email/archives/200510/msg00094.html)
Note that this option includes rescinding the resolution to 48 and reclosing
it with a reference to the resolution to issue 11.
D: Accept both proposals.
E: None of the above.
Please write in your preference in order
in the field for the "Other" option below - eg, if you like option
D best, B second best, A next, C next and E last, please enter: D>B>A>C>E.
(Commas are also ok). If you consider two choices equivalent,
you may express that with an = sign, for example in the last example, if
you have no preference between B and A, you would vote: D>B=A>C>E.
You may chose fewer than the 5 entries
- the ones you do not list will be treated as equally undesired. For
example, if you prefer B then A and none of the others, you can vote, B>A
(This would be equivalent to B>A>C=D=E).
When you vote, you will get to
select one of two options: Abstain, or Other: To vote, you
enter the prefrence order in the other field.
