We will flesh out the outline for version 1.0 of the customization
specificiation:

1. scope: review of goals from face to face for v1.0
 a. read/write model instance values: initialization, incremental updates
 b. model augmentation (type modification): via properties
 c. view alteration: data driven

2. interfaces, method call sequencing
 plan to use properties mechanism of core interface
 need to specify valid sequencing of interface calls for customization

3. metadata: property scope, type, namespaces, read/write access

4. review of usage scenarios, illustrate implementation using customization
protocols
