Attendees: Andre, Rich, Subbu

Discussed Oracle SwA (SOAP with Attachments) figures (using base64 encoding gave better results than Citrix saw for markupString via DIME) and Subbu shared BEA's results (using markupString, which Subbu will post to SC). SwA does seem to give a much flatter graph than in-band and may result in better producer scalability.

Discussed "negotiation" of when to use SwA. The BEA approach is to not change the wsdl and to advertise SwA using an "accept" header which includes multipart/related on the getMarkup request. Citrix use a "DIME" registration property (and can do dynamic detection using DIME at the transport level) which has an added benefit of enabling use of attachments for uploads to the producer.

Rich expressed the desire to clearly identify capabilities in the wsrp wsdl (binding/service description) but this may have to wait for WS-I.org to clarify the best practice.

We now need a second SwA or DIME implementation to begin experiments?

The next WSDL SC call is cancelled due to personal Holiday.
