For one thing, it's a system-specific mechanism, and for another it doesn't let you specify ranges or bounds on usable versions. On the other hand, it's certainly easier to deal with. Anway, like I said, this is just something to mull over for a while. I think it could be very useful on the management side of things, and I've talked with a few people who seemed positive on the idea. Something to think about in the future, but not necisarily a "must have." seth
