Subject: Re: [xacml] Minutes TC Meeting 17 January 2008

Hi Erik,

My intention at least was that it be removed from v2 in the errata. The
nature of errata seems to be that they are non-normative corrections
to official released specifications, that are intended to be incorporated
to a future official release. Therefore, they appear to serve a function
of notifying implementers of how to make implementations actually
work if they run into a problem implementing an actual released
specification faithfully. I'm not sure if this is an official OASIS policy
for errata, but that is the impression that I have developed over time.

That being said, it seems that there should be no problem applying
any corrections we believe should be advised to v2 developers.
On the other hand, given the above sense of errata, one would
then NOT put anything in errata that one wanted to hold for a
future release.

    Thanks,
    Rich
