XML.org Focus Area

OASIS XLIFF TC members,
Finally, we're ready to move forward with an XML.org Focus Area to support your
work. 

As we discussed, the costs of creating and maintaining XML.org sites are
covered by sponsorship not member dues. We need at least three OASIS sponsor
members committed to providing 5,500 USD annually to the site. In exchange,
these companies receive their linked logos on every page in the Focus Area as
well as other promotional benefits.

Because membership in the XLIFF TC isn't huge, we may want to consider
broadening the scope of the site. Branding the focus area as
"localisation.xml.org" or "l10n.xml.org" instead of "xliff.xml.org" may make it
easier to attract more sponsors, more contributors, and maybe even more
participation in the XLIFF TC.
