I'm sorry to contradict you Rodolfo, but I do see only one segmentation model in XLIFF 1.2. It's here:
http://docs.oasis-open.org/xliff/v1.2/os/xliff-core.html#Struct_Segmentation

But maybe I'm missing something and you could you point me to the text describing the second model?
