Subject: RE: [xri] Hi
OK, its a virus/worm going around and I suspect someone on the XRI TC has this. Information about the virus can be found here http://www.vnunet.com/News/1152111 If you can telnet to port 6777 on your own machine (that is, if there is a process listening on port 6777), you likely have this virus. If you are interested, there is a tools from http://www.sysinternals.com called TCPView that will show you all open TCP and UDP connections (including listening ports). This tool is a little difficult to use, but can be useful in detecting if port 6667 is open on your machine (if you don't trust telnetting to port 6667). Its probably a good time for everyone to update their virus definition files from your virus scanning vendor (though check with them first to see if they are detecting this virus/worm). -Gabe > -----Original Message----- > From: gwachob@visa.com [mailto:gwachob@visa.com] > Sent: Sunday, January 18, 2004 10:05 PM > To: xri@lists.oasis-open.org > Subject: [xri] Hi > > > Test =) > avuitarqjqheaogoum > -- > Test, yep. >
