OASIS XSLT/XPath Conformance Voting Member Meeting Minutes for April Teleconference 2002-04-16 13:00-15:00EDT Roll call and quorum Attendance: Karl Best, OASIS Lofton Henderson G. Agenda - amendments - none - motion to accept: 1: Carmelo 2: Dave Minutes of the last meeting - review of minutes of last meeting http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xslt-conformance/200203/msg00009.html - motion to accept minutes of meeting: 1: Dave 2: Carmelo Membership - Carmelo volunteer to undertake the contacting of vendors and mail lists for new participation - no-one on the committee at this time is prepared to undertake the position of chair to replace the outgoing chair - Karl: - other committees not having as critical a membership problem as this group - could consider moving generic issues (like the generic testing framework) to the Conformance TC (Ken to contact Lynne) - Lofton's action item: - each working group is "ultimately responsible" for QA deliverables in each of their own ways (which may involve relying on other groups) - the dedicating of resources does not quite meet the requirement due to committees pleading "poverty of resources" - our committee should make a presentation to the XSL group - needs a briefing paper for orientation for the group ahead of time - Ken and Dave to prepare offline for presentation to the group during their next face-to-face May 13-17 - possible to approach XSL group members at conferences the week of May 20: - Dave will be at the XML conference in Baltimore - Ken will be at the XML conference in Barcelona - contingencies: - approach OASIS Conformance TC to undertake generic framework and approach XSL working group to undertake testing of XSLT/XPath using the framework - QA working group looking at generic framework (note the mail archives are public) Reports of standing committees: - Comparing Output and Role of Canonical XML - Carmelo, Pranav - Dave notes the Xerces project has acquired an HTML parser that might be useful for the HTML information set - Discretionary Items (stable; no report expected) - Dave, Pranav - Web Site Maintenance - Carmelo Outstanding action items - 20000906-ACT-9: (Carmelo) model and prototype rendition control instance and XHTML production working with Ken's results - not a lot of progress at this time - will talk with Ken offline - 20010213-ACT-5: (Pranav) document proposed HTML information set processes - no progress at this time but will be upcoming - 20010711-ACT-6: (Pranav) a prototype test bench for internal committee use - no progress at this time but will be upcoming - 20011217-ACT-1: (All) please send to Carmelo a list of tests you plan to review and their status on an ongoing basis as submissions are accepted - no lists of tests received since last meeting - 20020205-ACT-1: (Stan) contact vendors for participation - Carmelo taking on the action item - 20020307-ACT-1: (Ken) - update the diagram with actual prototype results - no progress at this time - 20020307-ACT-2: (Ken) - create prototype 11 with changes reported on prototype 10 between now and next meeting - received items from Dave re: packaging and Carmelo re: documentation - Pranav to contact Ken offline - Lofton to contact W3C QA chairs regarding the situation - done Agenda items - none added New and old action items for next meeting - 20000906-ACT-9: (Carmelo) model and prototype rendition control instance and XHTML production working with Ken's results - 20010213-ACT-5: (Pranav) document proposed HTML information set processes - 20010711-ACT-6: (Pranav) a prototype test bench for internal committee use - 20011217-ACT-1: (All) please send to Carmelo a list of tests you plan to review and their status on an ongoing basis as submissions are accepted - 20020205-ACT-1: (Carmelo) contact vendors for participation - 20020307-ACT-1: (Ken) - update the diagram with actual prototype results - 20020307-ACT-2: (Ken) - create prototype 11 with changes reported on prototype 10 between now and next meeting Next meeting dates - May 28, 2002 12:30-14:30EDT Acknowledgements - many thanks to NIST for sponsoring the teleconference today Adjournment - 14:01 -- Upcoming: 3-days XSLT/XPath and/or 2-days XSLFO: June 17-21, 2002 - : 3-days XML Information Modeling: July 31-August 2, 2002 G.
