 Some description for any Oasis Security TC exploring alignment with 
the Oasis IDTrust Member Section.

Background :-
The Oasis IDTrust Member Section (http://www.oasis-idtrust.org/) is 
allocated portion of annual member dues for the Oasis members registered 
with the member section. This provides the member section with a healthy 
annual budget that the member section steering committee uses to promote 
the work of Oasis security TCs in the Identity and Trust area.

Activities of the member section :-
* The Member Section steering committee holds security conferences and 
workshops multiple times around the world. Eg: 
http://events.oasis-open.org/home/IDM/2010,
* The Steering Committee explores creation of new Technical Committees 
such as the Oasis Identity In The Cloud (IDCloud) and the Oasis Privacy 
Management Reference Model (PMRM).
* Provides financial support to its technical committees for travel, 
workshops, face to face meetings and interoperability events.

Responsibilities of TCs aligned with the IDTrust Member Section :-
* Provide a report of TC activities when requested by the steering 
committee.

How does a security TC align itself with the IDTrust member section :-
1) Can be built into the charter for a new TC. Eg: IDCloud TC
2) Hold a vote in the TC.

Benefits for TCs when aligned with the IDTrust member section :-
* Visibility via presentations/panels at Oasis IDTrust sponsored events, 
conferences, workshops and interoperability events.
* Funding for TC activities such as face-to-face events, interop events 
and travel.
* The IDTrust Steering Committee chair reports to the Oasis Board. 
Concerns can be channeled through the chair.

Disadvantages for TCs :-
* Apart from an occasional report on TC activities (email or 
presentation), there are no other burdens.
