Subject: Re: [cti-cybox] adding CybOX timestamp attribute information

I assume you mean observable instances instead of patterns.

Isn't this already provided by Discovery_Method/Time?  And there is a precision attribute to provide additional information.

Or do you mean you'd like to add a field/attribute to the Time object to denote if the time stamp source was properly synchronized (and possibly what source it was synchronized to)?

Hi Ivan et al.,

In the NFV and related mobile
worlds, there is a growing
recognition for a critical need
for low uncertainty, precision
stamps associated with the
observables.  This need is also
expressed as a need for time
synchronization.  The attached
recent presentation by a UK

in understanding the variables
involved.

In doing a search of CybOX dialogues
over the past two years, it is apparent
that there has been a dialogue among
CybOX developers about the ability to
capture timestamp attributes.  Have
there been any recent significant efforts
to provide the capabilities?  Is this
a topic of potential interest in cti-cybox?
