Provides invaluable advice. Here's a summary:-

* Leave information out. That includes disk path names, file extensions,
subject, status, author names, and so on, but excludes the date on which
the resource was created (that won't change)
* Date stamp your resources
* Provide a persistence policy, and stick to it

It's a little more difficult in practice than it is on paper, but not much.
