UDDI v2 becomes OASIS Standard!

OASIS is pleased to announce that the UDDI v2 specification has been
approved as an OASIS Standard. The UDDI Spec TC is to be congratulated on
the work they have done in
developing this specification.

OASIS Board of Directors Nomination open

The nomination period for the 2003 Board of Directors elections will be open
until midnight 27 May, 2003. The OASIS Board is comprised of eight
directors, each serving two-year terms, four seats are up for
nomination each year.   All member organizations are
encouraged to make a nomination to the Board of Directors.

Public Review period for WSRP 1.0 to become OASIS Standard

The OASIS Web Services for Remote Portals (WSRP) TC has voted to approve
WSRP 1.0 document as an OASIS Committee Specification. The WSRP TC has also
voted to begin the process of moving the WSRP 1.0 Spec towards becoming an
OASIS Standard. The public review period extends from Friday, April 25, 2003
until Saturday, May 31, 2003 (inclusive).

Last Call period for the SAML 1.1 Specification Set ends 16 May

The OASIS Security Services TC has entered a two-week Committee Last Call
Period, ending 16 May, for the SAML 1.1 Specification Set. During the Last
Call period, all comments on the documents are collected and discussed on

OASIS to Sponsor SPML Demo at Catalyst

The OASIS SPML Interoperability Demonstration will occur on 9 July at the
Catalyst Conference in San Francisco, California.
Members of the OASIS Provisioning Services TC will participate in the
Interop Demo. The PSTC will demonstrate the use of SPML to solve real
business problems.
Gavenraj Sodhi, Business Layers, will present 'The Service Provisioning
Markup Language' prior to the Interop Demo.

OASIS Open Standards 2003 call for papers--submission deadline May 18

OASIS Open Standards 2003 will occur on 1-3 October in Sydney,
Australia. OASIS Open Standards is seeking submissions for conference
sessions focused on ebXML, Security (SAML, Liberty Alliance, PKI),
localization, LegalXML, e-Government standards and Web services.

OASIS Team Talks

12-15 May--Phil Griffin, XCBF TC, will make a presentation in the Defending
the Enterprise seminar titled, "Biometric Web Services Security:
Accelerating Electronic Business" at CTST 2003--CardTech/SecurTech ID,
Orlando, Florida.

13 May--Patrick Gannon will make a keynote presentation at 'Complying with
e-GIF & XML', Cambridge, UK.

14-15--Patrick Gannon will present 'New solutions for trade facilitation and
e-business accessible to all' at the Second International Forum on Trade
Facilitation, Geneva, Switzerland.
